THE CHALLENGE
The brief for this project was to refresh the old P2 grips website and to give the entire website a visual refresh, as well as rebuilding certain elements that were no longer functioning as originally intended. Main features such as mobile responsiveness and ecommerce shop functionalities remained as was. There was also much more of an emphasis placed on SEO and search engine marketing. Structuring and optimising the website correctly for on-page SEO as well developing some strategic long form blog posts that would drive a higher volume of traffic than the site was previously receiving.
THE APPROACH
This product is quite different to most others that you would typically sell online. This is predominantly as a result of the product USP’s being based quite considerably on the tactile feel of the grip itself. This is very difficult to communicate online and as such the website needed to be more geared towards displaying content that would help the buyer to make their decision easier and also content that would rank the website and add to the element of brand discovery for new customers.

There were other additional functionalities that we’re included such as Mailchimp integration with WooCommerce to automatically add new customers into a segmented email marketing list for future campaign. Facebook WooCommerce integration and Instagram WooCommerce integration was carried out to allow products to be directly tagged in social posts so that it displays additional info such as price and streamlines the buying process when coming from social media. Finally we added an automated abandoned cart email to recover lost sales at the checkout.
