THE CHALLENGE
CROIA Ireland came to us as an early-stage startup looking to develop a multivendor market place that sold only Irish made products. The concept came from wanting to help the smaller Irish businesses who may not have been able to get online themselves generate more sales and actually get some traction amidst the pandemic. The key was focusing on the main features and functionalities that were truly necessary to get the market place operational as quickly as possible, utilising the budget as effectively as possible, without limiting user experience in any way that could potentially impact the purchasing process and ultimately the conversions.
THE APPROACH
Obviously as with all start-ups budget was more of a concern, so prioritising certain features was essential to reduce development costs, whilst at the same time leaving the option for other features open for a phase 2 development project. The main focus was to provide all of the functionality required to allow a vendor to sell through the platform and to keep it as clean, professional, and easy to use as possible with regards to the design.
